Crete offers many different places for someone to explore, from traditional villages with historical alleys to bigger cities.

Chania:
The second-largest city with old narrow lanes leading down to the fishing harbor.
Split into two parts: The Old Town (considered the most beautiful urban district on Crete), and the Modern City, in which most locals live and work. Also, you must visit, Samaria Gorge one of the largest gorges in Europe and two of the best beaches in Crete Balos bay, and the pink beach of Elafonisi.
Rethymno:
Boasting one of the best-preserved Venetian castles on Crete, this region is steeped in ancient history. The town still maintains its vintage aristocratic appearance.
Buildings dating from the 16th century, arched doorway, stone staircases, Byzantine and Hellenic-Roman remains, the small Venetian harbor, and narrow streets are a must-see.
HERAKLION:
The largest city and administrative capital of Crete. The spectacular Venetian fortress of Rocca al Mare guards the inner harbor of Heraklion.
A wealth of cultural events are organized throughout the year with traditional Cretan music and dance, offering to citizens and visitors alike authentic cultural experiences. Also 5km south of Heraklion, you can visit one of the first ancient palaces of Europe the palace of Knossos.
AGIOS NIKOLAOS:
A medium-sized town with a small-town feel. Differing from the other regions on Crete.
Settling on 3 hills to support its wealthy offering of an arty, leisurely, and busting stay, this is a genuine experience not to be missed, 94km east of Agios Nikolaos city is located one of the most beautiful palm beaches in Europe the famous Vai Palm beach.
