Acceptable Forms of Payment:
Rental payment may be made via Credit card, Debit card, Prepaid card, PayPal, Cash, Mobile app, IRIS, Payment link or Bank transfer. American Express is not accepted. Please contact us if your payment method is not listed.
Deposit / Pre-authorization Policy
- Direct bookings (via our website):
No deposit or pre-authorization is required. - Bookings via third-party partners:
A deposit/pre-authorization may be required depending on the insurance package selected. For such cases: A valid Credit card or Debit card under the main driver’s name is required. The card must have sufficient funds to cover the excess/deposit. Accepted cards are Visa and Mastercard.The amount of the deposit may be temporarily blocked for up to 30 days. The card must be in physical form, include all digits, and have an expiration date at least three months after the rental period.
Please note that the company is not responsible if the card fails due to PIN issues, limits, or any other restriction. American Express, virtual cards, prepaid cards, cash, or any other method are not accepted for deposit/pre-authorization
Driving License Requirements
The main driver and any additional drivers must present a valid driving license in physical form, under their name, upon picking up the vehicle. All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 12 months.
- Domestic Renters (Greece): A valid Greek driving license is required.
- EU Renters: If picking up the car in the EU, you only need a valid driving license from your country, in Latin script. If not in Latin, an International Driver's License or an official translation is required.
Beepit accepts a valid driving license in Latin script for renters of the following regions:

International Driving Permit: An International Driving Permit is required, along with your country’s driving license, in case the driving license is not written in Latin script.
Identification
Domestic Renters and EU Nationals: A valid national identity card or passport in physical form must be presented at the rental counter.
Non-EU Nationals: A valid passport in Latin script is required. Identity cards are not mandatory but recommended. All documents must have been issued at least six months prior to the pick-up date.
Rental Voucher / e-Voucher
Upon pick-up, the renter must present the booking voucher that indicates that the vehicle is reserved under the main driver's name including the unique confirmation number on it.
Age Requirements
Minimum Age Limit: 21 years
Age-Related Fees: Renters between the ages of 21 and 24, as well as those 71 and above, will be subject to an additional charge of 9 EUR per day, up to a maximum of 90 EUR per rental. Age-related charges and restrictions will apply to all additional drivers.
Additional Equipment
Additional Drivers: The maximum number of drivers per contract is 4. Each additional driver will incur a charge of 5 EUR per day and a maximum of 50 EUR per rental. Customers who book directly from our website can add one additional driver free of charge.
Child Seats: Each additional Infant seat / Child seat / Booster seat, will incur a charge of 7 EUR per day with a maximum of 70 EUR. Each additional Isofix seat will incur a charge of 15 EUR per day with a maximum of 150 EUR. Child seats and boosters are installed at the renter's own risk during the vehicle pick-up process. Note that according to the Road Traffic Code and European safety regulation (ECE R44/04 & UN R129), the use of an
appropriate child car seat is mandatory for children up to 12 years of age or up to a height of approximately 1.35-1.50 meters.
Vehicle Transportation and Usage Restrictions
Vehicle Transportation Outside Greece
The transportation or use of the vehicle outside the borders of the Hellenic Republic is strictly prohibited unless prior written authorization has been granted by the Company.
In the event that the vehicle is taken outside Greece without the Company's prior written approval:
a. A Penalty Fee of €1,000 (including VAT) will apply.
b. All insurance coverages and optional protection packages will be immediately voided.
c. Theft Protection (TP) coverage shall cease to apply outside Greek territory.
d. The renter shall bear full and unlimited liability for any damage, loss, theft, destruction, transportation costs, repatriation expenses, or any other financial burden arising while the vehicle remains outside Greece.
The Company reserves the right to take any lawful action necessary to protect its property and recover any direct or indirect losses resulting from a breach of this provision.
One-Way Rental Fee
Returning the vehicle to a location different from the pick-up station is subject to a One-Way Fee, which is communicated at the time of booking or vehicle collection.
An additional fee of €90 applies to bookings where the pick-up and return locations differ as follows:
- Heraklion Airport → Chania Airport
- Chania Airport → Heraklion Airport
An additional fee of €290 applies to bookings where the pick-up and return locations differ as follows:
- Athens Airport → Chania Airport
- Athens Airport → Heraklion Airport
- Heraklion Airport → Athens Airport
- Chania Airport → Athens Airport
The One-Way service is provided exclusively subject to the Company's prior approval and vehicle availability.
If the vehicle is returned to a different location without the Company's prior authorization, the renter will be charged the applicable One-Way Fee, as well as any additional transportation, recovery, or administrative costs required to return the vehicle to the agreed return station.
Vehicle Transportation by Ferry
Transportation of the vehicle by ferry is permitted only with the Company's prior approval.
For each approved ferry transportation, the following charge applies:
- Ferry Fee: €60 per island or destination
If the vehicle is transported by ferry without prior declaration or approval from the Company, the renter will be charged:
- Penalty Fee: €180 per island or destination
The Company reserves the right to restrict or refuse ferry transportation for certain vehicle categories and may require additional terms or guarantees where deemed necessary.
Undeclared ferry transportation may affect the validity of certain insurance coverages or roadside assistance services, in accordance with the applicable Rental Terms and Conditions.
Off-Road Driving Penalty
Driving on unpaved, poorly paved, or off-road roads is strictly prohibited.
Any damage occurring while the vehicle is being driven off-road is not covered by any insurance policy or protection package.
A penalty of €150 per violation will be charged for the use of the vehicle in off-road areas, including but not limited to Balos, Kedrodasos, Kolokytha, Agiofarago
The renter remains fully responsible for any resulting damage, recovery costs, or associated expenses.
Road Assistance, Towing & Vehicle Replacement
Vehicle Replacement
In the event of a mechanical breakdown, immobilization, or other technical issue not caused by the renter, the Company will make every reasonable effort to repair the vehicle or provide a replacement vehicle within twenty-four (24) hours from the time the incident is reported.
Each incident is treated as a priority to allow the customer to continue their journey as quickly as possible and with minimum inconvenience.
The Company reserves the right to provide a replacement vehicle of a different make, model, fuel type, transmission, or category depending on fleet availability at the time of replacement.
Replacement vehicles are not provided in cases where the accident, damage, immobilization, or breakdown was caused by negligence, misuse, breach of the Rental Terms and Conditions, or unlawful use of the vehicle by the renter.
In such cases, the Company may, at its sole discretion, offer a replacement vehicle subject to additional charges or refuse replacement altogether.
Vehicle Towing
If towing is required due to the renter's fault, negligence, or misuse of the vehicle, the renter shall be charged:
- Administration Fee: €150
- €1.50 per kilometre (VAT Included)
The distance is calculated from the location of the vehicle to the nearest authorized Company station or partner facility.
Vehicle Recovery
If recovery, extraction, relocation, or retrieval of the vehicle is required due to the renter's actions, including but not limited to:
- Vehicle abandonment
- Misfuelling
- Battery discharge caused by negligence
- Vehicle immobilization
- Lost keys
- Violation of the Rental Terms and Conditions
the renter shall be charged:
- Administration Fee: €100
- €1.50 per kilometre (VAT Included)
for each required movement of Company personnel or vehicles.
Spare Key Delivery
If a spare key needs to be delivered due to loss, lockout, or inability to use the original key as a result of the renter's actions, the Company may arrange delivery of a spare key where available.
The renter shall be charged:
- Administration Fee: €100
- €1.50 per kilometre (VAT Included)
Additional costs related to key replacement, programming, or repairs may also apply where necessary.
General Provision
The above charges apply to incidents resulting from the renter's actions, omissions, negligence, or breach of the Rental Terms and Conditions and are covered exclusively by the optional Road Assistance+ (SRAC) package, subject to its applicable terms and conditions.
Coverage is valid only when the vehicle is used properly, the Rental Terms and Conditions are respected, and the renter acts in good faith.
The Company reserves the right to deny coverage in cases involving fraudulent behaviour, abuse, gross negligence, breach of contract, or violation of applicable laws.
Road Assistance+ (SRAC) applies exclusively to rentals with a pick-up location within Crete.
Rentals originating from mainland Greece, including Athens stations, are expressly excluded.
If the package has not been purchased or the conditions for coverage are not met, all related charges and expenses shall be borne solely by the renter.
Violations, License Plates & Vehicle Equipment
License Plate Confiscation Due to Traffic Violations
In the event that the vehicle's license plates and/or registration documents are confiscated by the competent authorities as a result of a traffic violation or any other offence committed during the rental period, the renter shall be responsible for:
a. All fines, penalties, fees, and other administrative charges imposed by the authorities.
b. An Administration Fee of €100.
c. Any transportation, handling, recovery, or vehicle management costs incurred by the Company.
d. Any Loss of Revenue and/or Vehicle Immobilization Charges for the period during which the vehicle remains unavailable for rental or circulation.
Loss or Theft of License Plates
In the event of loss, theft, damage, or failure to return the vehicle's license plates during the rental period, the renter shall be charged:
a. License Plate Replacement Fee: €250 (VAT Included).
b. Administration Fee: €100.
c. Any costs related to staff transportation, representation before public authorities, issuance of replacement documents, or administrative procedures.
d. Any Loss of Revenue and/or Vehicle Immobilization Charges until the vehicle is legally returned to service.
Loss of Vehicle Equipment
Fire Extinguisher Replacement
If the vehicle is returned without the supplied fire extinguisher, or if the fire extinguisher is lost, stolen, used, or damaged during the rental period, the renter shall be charged a replacement fee of €25 (VAT Included).
First Aid Kit Replacement
If the vehicle is returned without the supplied first aid kit, or if the first aid kit is lost, stolen, used, or damaged during the rental period, the renter shall be charged a replacement fee of €25 (VAT Included).
Tire Repair Kit Replacement
If the vehicle is returned without the supplied tire repair kit, or if the tire repair kit is lost, stolen, damaged beyond normal wear and tear, or used during the rental period, the renter shall be charged a replacement fee of €60 (VAT Included).
Traffic Violation Charges
Customers are fully responsible for the payment of tolls, speeding fines, parking fines, traffic violations, and any other charges arising from violations of the applicable Road Traffic Code.
Administrative Processing Fee
For each speeding ticket, parking violation, traffic offence, or any other fine issued during the rental period, an Administration Fee of €15 will be charged in addition to the applicable fine or penalty imposed by the authorities.
This fee also applies to charges arising from illegal parking violations.
General Provision
The renter is required to return the vehicle with all mandatory safety and emergency equipment provided at the commencement of the rental.
In the event of loss, theft, removal, destruction, damage, or failure to return any of the supplied equipment, the Company reserves the right to charge the applicable replacement cost together with any additional procurement, handling, transportation, or administrative expenses where applicable.
Adtional Fees
- Out-of-Hours Pick-up or Drop-off Charge: The rental office operates daily from 07:00 to 22:00. If a pick-up or delivery occurs outside of these working hours, an additional charge of 40 EUR will apply. This fee is automatically included in the reservation summary if made through the company’s website.
- Damage Administration Fee: Any damage to the vehicle will incur a Damage Administration Fee of 75 EUR, which will be charged at the time of the vehicle’s drop-off. This fee will be in addition to any amounts
deducted from the excess for repairs.
A "Loss of Use" charge may also apply, depending on the severity of the damage. This charge compensates for the rental income lost while the vehicle is being repaired. - Valeting Fee: In the event the vehicle is returned in a condition requiring more than the standard cleaning, a valeting fee of 100 EUR will be applied to restore the vehicle to its pre-rental state.
- No-Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles. If evidence of smoking is found, a cleaning fee of 20 EUR will be charged.
- Vehicle Return-Delays-Grace Period: A 59-minute grace period is allowed for vehicle returns. If the car is returned after this period without prior notice, the following penalties will apply:
25 EUR Late Penalty Fee
5 EUR per hour of delay
The vehicle’s cover package will no longer be valid, and the renter will be liable for any damages. The authorities will be informed that the vehicle is not legally rented. - Fuel Policy - Same-to-Same Fuel Policy: All vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when they were delivered. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the fuel required to refill it, plus a refueling fee of 20 EUR. If the vehicle is returned with more fuel than when it was delivered, no refund will be issued for the excess fuel.
Cover Packages
Premium Package: All our bookings from our website include our Premium package where no deposit is required. Note that Glasses & Tyres are not including on this waiver.
Super Premium Package: If the Super Premium package is purchased, the renter will waive liability for the following:
- Bodywork
- Windscreen, windows, mirrors
- Tyres
- ‘Immobilization’ charges (for loss of revenue while the car is being repaired and cannot be rented out)
- Roadside assistance charges resulting from a breakdown or accident
- Car hire company administration fees related to any of these points
*Please note that the Premium or Super Premium cover is limited to a single incident or accident that may occur during the duration of your rental.

Exclusions of Cover Packages
No cover package (Premium and Super Premium) will waive liability for the following:
- Repairs and Services: Any repairs or services that have not been authorized by the car hire company.
- Interior Damage and Cleaning Charges: Charges for cleaning or damage to the car's interior
- Breach of Rental Agreement: Damages resulting from a breach of the rental agreement’s terms and conditions.
- Failure to Report Accidents Promptly: If the renter fails to inform the car rental company in a timely manner following an accident, liability for damages is not waived.
- Driving with a Flat Tyre or Overheating Indicator: The renter is not covered if they continue to drive the vehicle with a flat tyre or with the vehicle’s overheating indicator active.
- Loss or Theft of Personal Belongings: The renter is not covered for the loss or theft of luggage or personal items from the vehicle.
- Parking Fines and Traffic Violations: Costs arising from parking tickets, fines, or traffic violations (speed limits, road directions, U-turns, Stop signs, etc...)
- Refueling with Incorrect Fuel: The renter is liable for any costs incurred due to refueling the vehicle with the wrong fuel type.
- Loss, Theft, or Damage to Keys: Any expenses related to lost, stolen, or damaged car .
- Loss, Theft, or Damage to Car Documents: The renter is responsible for any expenses related to the loss, theft, or damage to car documents.
- Negligence: Expenses arising from negligence, such as an empty battery, will not be covered.
- Loss of Equipment: Costs for lost equipment such as a spare tire, tire repair kit, aerial, hubcaps or any other external or internal part of the car, are the renter's responsibility.
- Damage to Additional Equipment: Expenses related to damage to any additional equipment provided with the vehicle.
- Misuse of the Vehicle: Any expenses resulting from the misuse of the vehicle, as specified in the rental agreement, are the responsibility of the renter.
- Ignoring Maintenance Instructions: If the renter ignores the instructions for car maintenance as outlined in the car’s service book, they will be liable for any related costs.
- Driving Under the Influence: The renter will be held responsible for any expenses resulting from damage caused by operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Off-Road Driving Penalty: Driving in unpaved or poorly paved areas is prohibited. Any damage that occurs off-road is not covered by any insurance type. An off-road driving penalty of €150 per incident will be applied in the event the renter has used the vehicle in off-road areas such as Balos, Gramvousa, or Agiofaraggo.
- Car Racing or Participation in Sports Events: The renter will be liable for any costs resulting from the use of the vehicle in car racing or participation in sports events.
- Overburdening the Vehicle: The renter is responsible for any costs arising from overloading the vehicle with people or cargo.
- Unauthorized Drivers: If the damage is caused by a person not listed as the main or additional driver in the rental agreement, the renter will be fully liable.
- Invalid or Suspended Driver's License: If the main or additional driver does not possess a valid driver’s license or has a driving ban, the renter will be fully liable for any damage costs.
- Damage Due to External Causes: The renter is not covered for damages resulting from fire, acts of God, snow, hail, flood, riots, terrorism, radiation, or vandalism.
- Damages to Windscreen Wipers or Locks: Any damage to the windscreen wipers, locks, or exterior parts of the vehicle, unless reported with a police record, is not covered.
- Damage to Roof or Cargo Handling: Damages incurred from using roof carriers, improperly handling luggage, or placing cargo on the roof or hood, or ignoring vehicle warnings, are the renter’s responsibility.
- Materials transport: Damages to the vehicle may result from the transport of dangerous or flammable materials.
- Towing: Damages to the vehicle may arise if it is used to tow other vehicles or objects.
- Undercarriage Damage: The renter is fully liable for damage to the car’s undercarriage parts. Collision damage waivers do not apply in such cases.
- Immobilization Due to Renter’s Fault: If the vehicle becomes immobilized due to the renter’s fault, negligence, key loss, traffic violation, or any breach of terms, the renter will incur a towing fee of €150 plus €1.50 per kilometer.
- Key-Related Immobilization: If the vehicle becomes immobilized due to a lost key, broken key, or discharged key battery caused by the renter’s negligence, the renter will be subject to a recovery fee of €100 plus €1.50 per kilometer.
- Documentation of Pre-Existing Damage: At the time of vehicle pick-up, the rental agent must document all visible damages in the rental agreement. The renter must be present and is jointly responsible for ensuring proper documentation of any damage.
Additional Verification Requirements for Zero Deposit / No Security Deposit Rentals
No Replacement Vehicle or Refund: In the event of a traffic law violation, negligence, or breach of the terms and conditions, the car rental company has the right to withhold a replacement vehicle or refund for unused days of the rental period. For fraud prevention, fleet protection, and renter verification purposes, the Company reserves the right to request additional documentation, proof of identity, proof of residence, or other supporting information for rentals completed without a security deposit, as well as in any other case where such verification is deemed necessary under the Company's internal risk assessment procedures.
Additional documentation may include, but is not limited to:
- A valid credit or debit card in the name of the main driver.
- A recent utility bill, bank statement, or other proof of permanent address.
- Confirmation of hotel accommodation or other lodging arrangements.
- A return flight ticket or other proof of travel itinerary.
- Additional proof of identity or proof of ownership of the payment card used.
- Any other document or information reasonably required to complete the rental security verification process.
The request for the above documentation does not constitute an obligation on the part of the Company to release the vehicle and does not limit the Company's right to carry out further verification procedures where necessary.
The Company reserves the absolute right, at its reasonable discretion, to refuse or cancel a rental without further justification if:
- The renter refuses to provide the requested documentation.
- The documentation provided is deemed insufficient, inaccurate, incomplete, or cannot be verified.
- There are indications of fraud, misrepresentation, false declarations, or elevated credit or operational risk.
- The Company's internal verification and identification procedures cannot be completed successfully.
In such cases, the Company shall bear no responsibility for any direct or indirect loss, cancellation costs, travel disruption, accommodation expenses, missed reservations, or any other consequence resulting from the refusal to release the vehicle.
This procedure applies regardless of the selected insurance package, coverage option, or commercial product and forms an integral part of the Company's fraud prevention and risk management policy.
Vehicle Security and Responsibility
The renter and any additional drivers must ensure that the vehicle is securely locked when unattended and take all reasonable steps to prevent damage to the vehicle and its contents.
In case of damage caused by any of the above scenarios, the renter authorizes the rental company to deduct the repair costs from the excess amount. If the repair costs exceed the excess, the renter authorizes the company to charge the
additional amount to the payment card.
No Replacement Vehicle or Refund: In the event of a traffic law violation,
negligence, or breach of the terms and conditions, the car rental company has
the right to withhold a replacement vehicle or refund for unused days of the
rental period.
Important Information
Arrival Details/Flight Details: Please provide us your flight details so that we are able to offer you the best possible service. Beepit will not be held responsible for issues with your flight arrival time.
Booking Agreement: To ensure you understand the rules and regulations regarding the rental agreement please read the Terms &Conditions in full before picking up your car.
You must bring the necessary documents (e.g., driver’s license, identification forms, and payment cards) and ensure that you are prepared to pay any additional charges at the car hire counter. If these requirements are not met, Beepit may refuse to provide the vehicle.
Vehicle Availability: Beepit is responsible for providing the renter with a vehicle that shares similar attributes to the one booked online. Beepit can not guarantee a specific model.
Agreement Confirmation: By making this booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted Beepit’s Terms & Conditions.
Rental Agreement Signing: Upon vehicle pick-up, you will be required to sign a rental agreement. Please read the agreement carefully, and if anything is unclear, discuss it with Beepit staff before signing.
Disputes: If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your rental, please discuss the issue directly with Beepit. You may contact Beepit via the ‘Contact Us’ page for further assistance.

Exchange Rates and Fees
Currency and Bank Fees: Beepit is not responsible for fluctuations in exchange rates or any fees charged by your bank or credit card issuer. The amount shown on your credit card statement may differ from the amount initially
quoted.
Refunds: Any refunds will be issued for the exact amount charged, without accounting for fluctuations in currency or banking fees.
Car Hire Company Rules and Procedures
In Case of an Accident or Incident:
- The driver must immediately contact Beepit's Emergency Line at (+30) 6945 281111.
- The police must be called at 100, and the driver must not accept responsibility for the accident until an official police report is available. A copy of the report will be requested from Beepit.
- Take photos of the accident and note the names and license plate numbers of all involved vehicles.
- Within 24 hours, an incident report must be completed and sent to Beepit at info@beepit.gr.
Breakdown or Mechanical Issues:
In the event of a breakdown, contact Customer Support immediately. If the renter is not responsible for the breakdown, a replacement vehicle or repair will be provided within 24 hours.
Seatbelt Requirement:
Drivers and passengers must wear seat belts at alltimes, as required by law in all countries.
Documentation of Vehicle Condition:
At the time of vehicle pick-up, the renter will receive a checkout list detailing any pre-existing damages to the vehicle.The customer is fully responsible for identifying and recording any visible damage to both the interior and exterior of the vehicle, including lower body areas, before departing from the station. The customer is also requested to inform our staff of any discrepancies observed between the vehicle’s actual condition and the documentation provided.
Pet Policy:
One small household pet is allowed in a carrier. The renter is fully responsible for any damage or dirt caused by the pet. Charges will apply for any pet-related damage or soiling.
Cancellations, No-Shows, and Amendments
Cancellation Policy: For Fully Prepaid Bookings If canceled 48 hours or more before the rental starts, the full amount will be refunded. If you fail to pick up the car at the agreed time or do not provide the necessary documentation, Beepit
may refuse to provide the vehicle.
No-Show: A no-show occurs when the renter fails to show up at the agreed date and time, fails to provide required documentation, or has insufficient funds. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
Amendments: You can make changes to your booking up to 48 hours before the pick-up time by contacting us. If less than 48 hours, please call Beepit directly. Changes may affect the rental price, and if necessary, a new booking may be
made.
Extensions and Amendments After Vehicle Pickup: If the rental period is extended or any changes are made after the vehicle has been collected, the renter is required to contact Beepit’s customer support. Any modification to the
coverage package or the addition of a second driver will necessitate a visit to the original rental location in order to re-sign the rental agreement.
Rental extensions under the same terms as the existing contract may be arranged through our office before the end of the rental period or by contacting our station. We will provide a payment link, enabling you to complete payment and sign the extension online, before the end of the running rental period, thereby eliminating the need to visit our station.
Please note that the extension rate corresponds to the standard daily rental rates and not to the pre-booked daily rates.
